About the artist...

Vin Hill is an artist working in multiple mediums including video, interactive installations, and sound. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington and is a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Studies candidate at Willamette University.

Vin Hill draws his inspiration from a lifelong fascination with technology, his interests in hierarchies of power and utility, and his discomfort with the identities assigned to him within the regime of colonialism and white supremacy. He also draws on his roots in the fertile ground of his experiences as a parent, an analyst in the field of information technology, and sex positivity. Hill’s desire is to reconcile the conflicting and overlapping multitudes of which everyone is composed by drawing these points of contention and paradoxes into the open. He believes the reconciliation of these conflicts are to be found between rules and randomness, intellect and emotion, flesh and machine.

Vin Hill's music is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Soundcloud. He was featured on KEXP 90.3 FM's Sonarchy Radio. Hill was a member of the Seattle and Bellevue Storefronts 2013-2014 Installation Artist roster. He has exhibited nationally in galleries and arts festivals including the Center on Contemporary Art (Seattle, WA) and Slingshot Festival (Athens, GA).

Vin Hill currently lives and works in Seattle, WA.
